2012 - Your Journey starts Hanoi, ends Siem Reap

DAYS 1-3 - HANOI & HALONG BAY
On arrival in Vietnam’s capital, transfer to your hotel before you sample your first taste of delicious Vietnamese cuisine on the first night. While in Hanoi, learn all about Ho Chi Minh at his former home and mausoleum, visit the ancient Temple of Literature and infamous Hanoi Hilton prison. Enjoy an instructive cooking lesson before embarking on an unforgettable overnight cruise on World Heritage listed Halong Bay.

DAYS 4-7 - HUE & HOI AN
Fly to the former imperial capital, Hue, and explore the city’s historic sites, including the Citadel and the Thien Mu Pagoda. Take a walking tour through the streets to see local dishes with ample opportunity to sample local restaurants. Drive through spectacular coastal scenery towards Hoi An, and discover the town’s many charms on a walking tour. Visit a market and learn about local produce with the young people working at the Streets Foundation, then sample some dishes back at the café. Uncover the local cuisine in a full-day cooking class in the tranquil surrounds of the Red Bridge Cooking School.

DAYS 8-10 - SAIGON & MEKONG DELTA
Fly to Saigon, Vietnam’s largest city and home to a myriad of culinary opportunities. Spend a day cruising in the Mekong Delta and try local produce, straight from the orchard. Stroll along historic Dong Khoi Street, the former Rue Catinat, and see the sights of the city including the Reunification Building, the War Remnants Museum and Chinatown. Learn to cook some South Vietnamese specialities at a half-day cooking school.

DAYS 11-15 - CAMBODIA & TEMPLES OF ANGKOR
Fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia, home to the magnificent and enchanting Temples of Angkor. Visit Tonle Sap, the world’s second largest inland freshwater lake. Enjoy a pre-dawn visit to Angkor Wat for sunrise and visit the temples of Bayon and Ta Phrom. A full day Khmer cooking class includes a visit to the local markets. Also take in the wonder of the outlying temples of Boeng Mealea and Banteay Srei. Transfer to Airport for your onward journey.
