2008 Spirit of the Himalayas:13 day India Tour

Wander the grounds of atmospheric Tibetan monasteries beneath spectacular snowcapped peaks.

When you wake to the view of the snowcapped Himalayas in one of India's holiest centres, you will experience the peace that has inspired thousands of years of pilgrimage and prayer.

Few destinations are as evocative as the Himalayas, the world's highest mountain range. Here, gaze on breathtaking scenery and learn about ancient religious traditions. Tibetans, Sikhs and Hindus all regard this corner of India as God's country - understand why as you discover the unspoiled villages in one of nature's most inspired settings. Culminate with a visit to Amritsar in the Punjab, near the border of neighbouring Pakistan, and take in the inspirational Golden Temple. You're sure to be intoxicated by the 'Spirit of the Himalayas.'
