1.  Uncover lesser known sites - Buddhist Rock Paintings hidden away, a Nunnery, the Tibet Museum and  Norbu Lingka Palace, the former summer residence of the Dalai Lama.
2.  Learn more about the way of life in this remote region as a local Tibetan family welcomes you into their home to share a cup of yak butter tea.
3.  When weather permits, take an open local ferry to visit Tibet’s first monastery, with spectacular views over the valley and snow-capped mountains.
