2010 Yangtze & Yunnan - 18 days

This wonderful 18-day journey will show you China’s extremes, from the teeming cities of Beijing and Shanghai, to the historical treasures of Xian and the natural wonders of the Yangtze River and Yunnan. While in Dali and Lijiang, we head out to some little-visited villages for a taste of tradition. Another highlight is an exploration of the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao.

Trip grading: MODERATE Suitable for travellers with an average level of fitness and independent mobility. Prepare for some long road journeys and high altitude in Zhongdian.Boarding of small and large boats required.
